SCHOOL OF NATURAL & PHYSICAL SCIENCES (SNPS)
All student who will be doing Bachelor's Degree in Science, Medicine and/or other Health Sciences are required to do Science Foundation Year program in the First Year.
Admission to Science Foundation Year is very competitive with limited quota for only 250 student per year.
Eligibility
Student MUST do ALL three Science courses (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and Math A to be eligible to apply for SFY Program.
To be accepted into SFY Program students MUST Score A grade in Math A and B or above in other three science courses with minimum GPA of 3.2.
Minimum Requirement
MATH A = A
BIOLOGY = B
CHEMISTRY = B
PHYSICS = B
LANGUAGE & LITERATURE = B
GPA: 3.2
School of Natural and Physical Sciences (SNPS) is made up of six (6) Disciplines/Divisions, namely:
1. Biology
2. Chemistry
3. Earth Sciences
4. Environmental Science
5. Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science
6. Physics
Programs after completing SFY
School of Natural and Physical Sciences (SNPS) has programs running under each of its Discipline/Division.
Each Division has their own courses that will nurture students to a specific field of study under the Bachelor of Science (BSc) program.
For example; Bachelor's Degree in Science Chemistry, the student will have to do Chemistry Program after SFY.
Students can also mix the courses between different divisions to suit their interest.
For instance, a Biochemistry student will take both Chemistry and Biology courses. A Geophysics student will take courses in both Geology and Physics, etc.
